i tried "the founntainhead" for a 2nd time and gave up again a few chapters in. i plan on picking up that michael crichton book that was just released (pirates) soon.
on my watch list are "the alchemist" and "world war z".
as for best book... that's a hard one to pin down. i feel like i should be recommending a best book based on what you like, hehe. this is gonna sound retarded, but i can't read "the giving tree" without crying for some reason. it takes 2 minutes to read it, and i'm bleary-eyed about a minute in. LOL
