What's interesting is that the disc has both Sega and Bally / Midway copyrights in the video, so presumably it was intended for release outside of Japan.
Also interesting is that at the end of the disc, the final piece of video is used for the 'Vibraseat Check'. I don't recall Astron Belt having a vibrating seat in the cockpit version, so this may be another point in favour of it using its own hardware - or at least a derivative of the Astron Belt / Galaxy Ranger hardware.

IIRC, Albegas was supposed to have been 'Voltron II' in the US series - Dairugger XV (giant robot made from cars, tanks, helicopters, etc.) was 'Voltron I', Golion (uh, lions) was Voltron III, and Albegas was intended to slot in-between them.
Never really had a clear answer as to why that never happened, but if Sega and/or Bally / Midway had the rights to the original show for the game, it may explain a few things.
