5 volt socket on a joystick control board...

I have a control board I can/could use with (like) custom arcade controls, but there are 3 ports along with the other wire ports that say 5V.

Can I use these to power something like LEDs or an LED strip? Or would I still need an outside power source to do that?

I know some(?) take 12 Volts...

The pic attached is an example, not the same as my board.

Essentially, I'm asking what could I use them for?
