Unless there is some way to be able to handle media hardware, it won’t be anytime soon. The video is not from a laserdisc such as used with Dragons Lair etc, but a different type of media device format. It is the same with games using VHS or Beta videotapes or other magnetic media such as 8 track media cartridges which were used for storing quiz questions for 1970s era video games.
Consider it fortunate that a few laser disc games are supported at this time like Time Travelers. There has been support for a few coinop games that use floppy support that are also supported such Sega 24 hardware and the coinop game system from Spain that uses floppy diskettes for game data storage and lastly the DECO cassette system.
Unfortunately the Stern game uses offbeat technology. Williams Star Rider is a different game, butalso has unique pcb operation features that have yet to be determined.
