To be fair, it was largely just me prodding away at it for about 3 weeks, with the occasional insightful comment from others here and there. It wasn't until I pretty much declared my side of things "done" this past Friday evening / Saturday morning that things went into overdrive.
That's not at all to detract from what anyone else did, just that the driver wasn't even in a workable enough state until the past 72 hours or so for anyone to even take a stab at improving the non-3D side of things.
Once the 3D stuff was sorted out, it was pretty much as you say, but in a more more time-compressed form. Frankly, it was a god damned inspiring moment to see so many long-time devs just absolutely jump into the fray to help give the driver what bits of polish that they could. I mentioned that towards the end of the blog post that I linked elsewhere in the thread - it briefly reminded me of the "good old days", when I was in my early 20's and most of the devs were about the age I am now, with so many fewer obligations and responsibilities that come with extended adulthood.
