This has always been one of my most favorite parts of mame, when some lone night 1 dev will just dive into something somewhat lost and forgotten quietly sitting at a monitor will start digging into the guts of mame to see what is there.

Then after much determination a small breakthru, then another and another, then another dev jumps in, then another wall falls, another dev another wall until all of a sudden something thought unknown and or impossible seems to become possible.

Then after much perseverance from within another accomplishment is added to the annuals of mame and game history quietly.

It's great to see this being done, 1 dev with the help of others working together and actually driving each other 1 bug fix at a time. Reminds me of the old days. Not saying it still doesn't happen today it's that you don't read about it as much as you used too.
