Correct on the 4:3 resolution. And, yes, I am using a variant from arcadeguns.
Since I am using a CRT, I am running in a 1024 x 768 resolution (basically 960 x 720 up-ressed using appropriate GPU drivers), which are in 4:3 aspect ratios.
If you change your resolution to a 4:3 aspect ratio, it will work. Otherwise, you will need to compensate for the 4:3 aspect ratio when calibrating the guns. For this, you can generate a "white-box" jpg picture in a 4:3 aspect ratio, and calibrate the guns against this in the OS before running the game. I know...a little extra work, but because the game is designed to run in a certain aspect ratio, asking the dev team to add "hacks" to run in other aspect ratios only introduces complaints that may be ignored down the road.
