Before mentioning the issue to Leezer, delete any of the files in the config folder first and also any old highscore.dat files that were created when playing or testing the game again.
Run the game again without any of those old files present to be certain that there is a bug issue.
If the issues still appear and it is certain that it is related to highscore.dat, then contact Leezer.
Most times when users update to a newer version of MAME and reuse the same folders for new version of MAME, the users will forget to delete all of the old files in the config folder. If you have a highscore.dat folder that might have old highscore.dat data files those should also be deleted because the bug issue might be not deleting old highscore.dat data files before reusing the same folders when updating to a newer version of MAME.
