Help identifying a 90s fighting game

My boss is trying to remember a side scrolling fighting game from the 90s that is likely Street Fighter or something very similar.

There was a character that threw a GREEN energy ball and would yell
Lechuga!
which means Lettuce in Spanish.

I am guessing this may have been a trick with Ryu’s blue energy ball and yelling Hadouken!
Or a Spanish bootleg?

Failing sound chip and damaged speakers?

Anyone hear of such a game?
