Mr. Do (Universal), how do I ... ?

In the Universal Mr. Do manual, to enter self test it states:

>Turn power ON while pressing the push-button or either the 1st or the 2nd player side, and self-testing will follow automatically.

I tried various things in MAME and I could not get this to work. There is no dip-switch to enter self-test. How do you do this in MAME?
