The alternative option, in case any coinop video game company never had a date release announcement of a specific product being marketed or if every single bit of company history and product history of items marketed and their copyright years lost, would be going by the trade magazines such as Play Meter magazine for announcing products in specific year as best option for recognizing copyright year. With some of the pong clones back in 1970s where copyright year is uncertain, going by trade magazine is probably only option if nothing is printed on circuit board, or no paperwork or flyer were ever printed.
