Are laserdiscs still being ripped/encoded? Sega Time Traveler on ebay

Just noticed a Sega Time Traveler laserdisc on ebay:



I believe the one DAPHNE etc use is based on a rip of the DVD port? I collected the Windows and DVD ports but they both have dodgy-looking 3D objects spinning in the background, which the original laserdisc does not (as they were real physical (non-moving) blocks in the arcade machine instead).

Just curious if anyone is still doing laserdisc rips/encodes at the mo.
