If the problem is the old timers, you’ll attract that “young blood” and quickly overtake MAME to become the preferred emulator for everything.
Your complaints about “old men” show a lack of maturity on your part. Although there’s no direct benefit to being old as such, you don’t build up decades of experience without getting old in the process. There are a lot of lessons to learn on the way to reaching a point where you can effectively manage a large software project with decades of history. MAME has had to grow up to remain viable.
