Over the years I forgot about the dreaded one hit wonder jingle that was popular in late 1960s/early 1970s, and then wound up having to remember it because some damn cheaply made "B" rated horror movie, not even a quality Roger Corman movie, had to bring it up as it was spoofing the jingle as one of the movie characters was trying to imitate the jingle in piss poor fashion and singing offkey.
What was the item that was being spoofed?
It was this. A recorded single version of the medley with Rodney Allen Rippy and backup vocal singers was "Make Life A Little Easier" which ran in 1973 and 1974. I couldn't stand having to listen to the medley even though it wasn't Rodney's fault since he was a kid having to do this. He [family] earned money for the work. It's too bad it was a crummy jingle imo.
The original variation was used for Jack in the Box fast food advertising.
