How much memory I need for gaming? 16gb or 32gb?

I read from a few websites I only need 16gb. 32gb isn't needed.

I thinking about getting another iBuyPower computer with Intel Core i7 with a AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT - 8GB (VR-Ready). Staying away from Intel Core i9.
