Whoa... I added that in, and then forgot to mention it on the news page... will fix that on the next release.

I was going through different super hi-res NASA pictures trying to find something I liked for a generic border background. When I happened upon this one, I figured it would be fitting for Asteroids.

The pencil artwork... there was a post here by Metroduck at some point, that linked to a tutorial on how to make artwork look like it was drawn in pencil. I played with it, and it worked pretty well on Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe.

The 3D artwork is from a loooong time ago... MarbleMad originally created it back in 2004. The page where it was originally posted has been gone for a long time... the main page is archived here: https://web.archive.org/web/20040609114752/http://www.kinetic-arts.co.uk/ , but the link to where these come from is hidden in there somewhere (at least, I can't find it today). It's all based on the "older" artwork, so not as hi-res as the normal artwork, but it was too cool to not add in. There are also 3D versions in Asteroids Deluxe and Warlords in the downloads today, and I've got 7 other games that I need to add in at some point.

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.
