Satan has no boxes

This may be one of those who cares, but I played Satan’s Hollow and I remembered that when I played the game when it first came out; it would flash white boxes. But I see no white boxes. Weeks go by and I go on YouTube and it recommended this video (https://youtu.be/9vE8IQh11gU?t=1024) on Satan’s Hollow. I watch and around 17:04 it shows and talks about the white boxes. He believes it’s to do with the game’s hardware. Weird, now I miss those stupid white boxes.
