Not accurate. WHO said it, so *some* people at the CDC started to second-guess, but ultimately stuck with "you should wear a mask".
What people need to understand, is that wearing a mask protects OTHER PEOPLE. Chances of catching it are lowered if you wear a mask, but FAR MORE SO, if the person who already has it, is wearing the mask.
Take this analogy: You're at a party and everyone is drunk off of their ass. Some dude stands right next to you, facing you, and starts to pee. If you are wearing pants, not as much gets directly on your skin, but the pants to soak it up, and the contact will last longer. If the person who did it, wears pants, his pants will be soaked and you won't get any on you.
My mask protects you, your mask protects me. So if you go out in public and you don't wear a mask, you're an asshole.
But at a mostly empty park or beach, with nobody withing 20 feet of you and your kids... getting arrested for being out and not wearing a mask (at that moment) is fucking ridiculous.
Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!
