Good afternoon all, Is it possible to display artwork from 2 different ZIP files from 2 different folders at the same time ? I am trying to display the marquee in the second display w/o use of anything but MAME and the files - no frontend, etc. I created a simple script that builds "marquee only" ZIPs that contains the marquee and custom LAY file (followed example from the pinned topic here). I configured MAME to use 2 screens, screen0 and screen1 are set to use //.DISPLAY1 and //.DISPLAY2, view0 is Standard and view1 is Marquee_Only. In the MAME.ini file I changed the artwork folder from artwork to artwork;artwork_mq (the subfolder that contains the new ZIPs).
When MAME is launched, it appears to ignore the second folder/file and mirrors the main display on the second monitor. I know the new LAY file and ZIP are correct because it works if I merge it into the original artwork file. It would appear that MAME just ignores the second file and setting. I would like to keep it separated so I can still do my monthly updates w/o having to update/rebuild the official artwork files. This way, the original files can be left as-is and my custom ones are displayed.
