What kind of mask did arcade monitors use?

Hello all.

I am reading conflicting reports so wanted to ask here. Or the majority of monitors.

I am using slot mask right now because I have a CRT TV to use as reference, but tried shadow mask and the phosphors are more realistic looking, especially on white background and they seem to sparkle when scanline jitter is enabled. Doesn't happen on slot mask and it looks more real.
