Writing BletchMAME was probably more motivated by my dislike of the internal MAME UI than anything else. While I think that MAMEUI64 is a good "MAME launcher", I also had a dislike of the whole approach of launchers and their disconnect with the rest of the UX.
Given your perspective, I would be interested in your feedback on BletchMAME after trying it out.
