I'm pretty sure you're talking about the half-assed conversion to HTTPS.
No one really knows which web admin was responsible - or what to do about it now.
But it needed to be done, Google algorithms penalize non-HTTPS websites these days.
Check your URL for loading MAMEWorld, are you coming in via HTTP or HTTPS?
If you come in via HTTP, all will appear as normal.
The HTTPS conversion is broken, Chrome and Firefox want to enforce all website elements loading via HTTPS if HTTPS is being used.
The website needs to be modified to allow loading web page elements via HTTPS if on HTTPS or with HTTP if on HTTP, or something.
