Yeah, I understand why it's doing it. I wasn't expecting it when I first switched to it and then it dawned on me. I do like the extra screen on the top but this is one downside if people want to use that cropped view. I suppose I could make extra views but it's probably overkill.
No rush on the update. It will just allow more time to make any improvements.
