The actual function of cropped view is "Crop to Screen." It crops down to whatever screen elements are in the view. Since you are using a screen element at the top as the reflection, it stops right there. If you were to Crop to Screen in a view that doesn't have the reflection, you would get the result I think you were expecting.
BTW... these look amazing!!! Sorry for not getting the site updated yet. Worst case scenario... I'm on vacation mid-October for a week; there will for sure be a site update that week.
