or they want the name of the game on various forums as free advertising, knowing that it will drive some people to the site, who find it isn't free, but buy it anyway.
I'm guessing if you're using a VPN to get around the region locking in their eyes it's no more legal than a pirate copy. (whatever license you agree to might state as much)
