I spent a little time digging into this system and wanted to share my findings.

Games come on installer Windows installer discs and inside the box includes a URL to download the installer software for mac (as well as a key - I'm sure you can see pics on ebay). The URL for the .pkg.zip downloads themselves can be explored on an FTP/browser level - I'll leave it at that.

There are 1.0.0 and 2.0.0 versions of the software. The version is visible on the disc label.

When installing, the 1.0.0 versions "phone home" for an update off - which won't work. Therefore you can't install these versions on the device.

The 2.0.0 versions however install without issue.

The discs contain all game data, so an internet connection is not necessary for installing the 2.0.0 versions.

Sharing this info here as I am prepping these discs for redump.org and archive.org. Perhaps the game data can be extracted from these installers and fed into the MAME database.
