Thanks ! I never would have thought of that myself. So now my update of HP-UX is in progress, but the estimated time of completion (according to the emulation) is over one hour. Guess Ill have to be patient and wait for a bit now. PS: does anyone have links to freely available documents (bitsavers?) on how to administer [1] the system once installation completes ? That would really be great.

I kinda agree. Although it would be 'ideal' if all could be achieved through a *single* keyboard (but what if 'scroll-lock' means something important to the emulated machine ?) so you will not need a second keyboard, this also seems as the best practical approach.
