Much simpler than you think.
1. Download MAME, not MAME Plus: https://www.mamedev.org
2. Download this xBRZ BGFX shader pack (licensed GPLv3) and install it in the appropriate folder: http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/download.php?Number=360520 Compatible with MAME 0.192 and below. Has not yet been rebuilt for latest MAME, so compatibility is doubtful. Hopefully it will be rebuilt soon.
2a. Optionally, download this xBRZ GLSL shader and install it in the appropriate folder: http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/sho...part=1&vc=1 Probably compatible with most MAME versions. Just know that in the future, GLSL may be deprecated in favor of BGFX.
