Speaking of the backdrop, wouldn't it be possible for the artwork to just assign a color background instead of always having a fixed-size background image?
It just feels a bit odd that the default settings display vertical Game & Watch games like this, in non-wide screens:
(I know the display options can easily be changed from the UI, but still)
