well, as in any program you once have to tell it where to find the files
surey I can scan all of your network drives, external drives and TBs of your local hds to find your mame.ini...but wait, I offer you a filedialog as windows usually does and you can point to your mame.ini directly...you go to settings, and hit import. tadaa...rom/sample paths set.
You really complain that you once have to setup rompaths...oh please...if you do so, write your own tool, besides of thism the batcher offers methods for you to auto create rompaths for each loaded profile...if you want to scan 123497123912 software lists....so setup ain't that hard..
