I believe Phil had strong reasons not to include such driver in mame.
Assuming mame drivers differ much to other emus code, i still wonder if sending such mame driver to the other project for review and asking them for the permission to include it under mame licence could be problematic (if just one or some of the authors give their OK in the name of the project)?
