I heard about aerodrums in the past, but didn't really pay attention to the product. It does make sense to where it is useful, but I wouldn't use it at some paying performance venue....too much at risk....especially if the laptop that runs the software has a Windows 'Blue screen of death' moment while performing with a band. :-)
I wouldn't be surprised if Orc bashed the crap out of this product and made fun of it like he used to with electronic drum sets. LOL Orc only liked acoustic drum sets...none of that electronic stuff. As for electronic drum sets, I do like Roland V drums since they are almost as close to acoustic with their responses when playing V Drums.
I prefer Roland V Drums over acoustic sets even though Vinnie makes that Yamaha set sound awesome back then. I always appreciate how Vinnie has his acoustic drums tuned to where they sound awesome. That is a technique not many drummers including myself never do it correctly.....probably why it is easier for me to stay with using Roland V Drum kits.
