One last question about my failed hard disk

When I open the disk manager (win7), it asks me to initialize it, but after I choose MBR or GPT, it says CRC error. Brick?

I also tried to dump the first blocks of the drive with a linux live cd and that dd utility, but ofc it refused to work since it can't access it either. Brick brick?
