Thanks for the informative post, Haze. This clears up quite a bit, for me and hopefully others. Let's hope the limits lie in the blitter rather than the SH3, I suppose someday we'll know. I'm not sure what else needs to be dumped but if it takes 10 years, so be it.
Also curious whether any of this work might impact SH2 emulation as well - it would be interesting to see Saturn/32X speed improvements too if that's possible.
