display ingame control panel

Hi,

I can't find how to display the control panel of a game, when playing it.
In the video options, I can enable/disable the cpanel

But enabling it, nothing displays on screen, even thought i've put all the png files in the mame/cpanel directory.

I can see the cpanels in the mameui user interface, but I was hoping to be able to display it also within the game.

Any clue ?
