Another good update as always.
>World Cup - Lowen-Automaten (1974) [Licensed by Atari, Inc., German flyer]
This flyer helps verify that World Cup and Goal IV are most likely the same game, but in a different hardware setup.
>'I also acquired a German flyer for Sport Center. Will post that one soon.'
I am looking forward to seeing this flyer because it should answer a question or two of how did some For-Play cabs (supposedly manufactured in For-Play's location in southern California) make it over to Europe market. I am guessing For-Play had some marketing agreement with a vendor in Europe in which the company was a licensed distributor of For-Play cab products back then in early to mid 1970s.
It had to have been a known business transaction back then, but then as time moved onward, things like this get overlooked (lost in history). Most of the folks in the business back then are now unfortunately gone....talking over 45 years ago where lots of info tends to fade away that long ago.
