He probably has the same issue I do. My keyboard does not have a scroll lock at all. Not even with the fn key. left-alt-prtsc worked for a while but no longer works for me for some reason. I probably did something silly. There is supposedly a registry hack for windows to assign it to another key but I never tried that. I use the same method Tafoid points out. HP laptops seem to not have it. Most Lenovo and Dells do have fn modifiers it seems.
