>Good dosage of memberberries there, tell more
A lot of the other long time members will recall lots more. For me, it was easy to recall a few of PacDude's tantrum posts because they had potential of becoming flamefest threads on old MAME.net site.
One other PacDude MAME.net flamefest forum thread that comes to mind is when PacDude was screaming/demanding that MAMEdevs better emulate Looping or Slither. This had to have been in 2000.
iirc ...it was along this line...
PacDude: Slither and Looping must be emulated first before doing other improvements with MAME. And tell Aaron to quit breaking working games (ie: Atari games) and stop playing Mappy.
one of the devs ...probably Aaron: We don't listen to demands....besides should either Looping or Slither be emulated and the cpu core gets busted while improving the cpu emulation of other games we don't have to bother fixing Looping or Slither to be playable again. Be a grown up and how about buying the pcb instead of relying on emulation.
I know there were better moments, but these are the ones I recall from old MAME.net days. The Dexter posts were also memorable. I know twisty had saved nearly all of them, but I don't know if they are still archived online somewhere. Dexter posts were awesome, entertaining reading material.
