-aviwrite doesn't accept full path ? (nevermind, I wrote a workaround)

I coded a workaround for this issue for EL v8.2.1. Nothing else to do here...
I'm updating my frontend to record .avi files, but if I give it a full path, it doesn't save the .avi file. like this: Code:
"D:\emulators\mame\binary\mame64.exe" expert11 -cart1 goonies -aviwrite "D:\emulators\mame\binary\record_video\msx1_cart\goonies\goonies.avi" -statename expert11/msx1_cart/goonies -snapname msx1_cart/goonies/%i
but if I only enter the filename without path, MAME does create the .avi file but in the snap folder, which is something I don't want. This works: Code:
"D:\emulators\mame\binary\mame64.exe" expert11 -cart1 goonies -aviwrite "goonies.avi" -statename expert11/msx1_cart/goonies -snapname msx1_cart/goonies/%i
The full path used to work, but with recent MAME builds it's not working. Please help.
