I think you can also import them. There is a menu item in the 'hamburger' menu in the upper right that you can use to control it. I think it is the same thing that shows up on the menu bar? That should get you at least close to knowing better what you are looking for. But yeah the minimal look is kinda of annoying if you are used to having a menu/button there that just does it. Takes a bit of getting used to.
