An SSD uses far less power than a mechanical drive. An SSD compared to a 5400rpm laptop drive is like racing an F-1 car on foot with two broken ankles. A 500GB drive just isn't enough space by today's standards.
The other benefit of such a high-end machine, if you consider it a benefit, is the fact that it's VR ready. I'm not Mr. moneybags, but I'm sure interested in playing around with an Oculus Rift. The $10 Google Cardboard-type thingy I got for my phone is more impressive than I thought.
While most people don't care about 3D stuff, I've always been a fan, and porn shot in 180° dome is pretty damn cool to me. (Don't judge. I'm out to sea.)
The games are a fun time waster as well.
Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!
