Time to get real serious. We NEED to talk about this. Finn's right arm.

What's the deal with Finn the Human's right arm.

What's the dilly, yo?

There's a few threads online that talk about it, but they leave out many details (has anyone else noticed the apocoplyptic arm, and how come no one else talks about the cursed grass blade sword?), and as such those threads come to illogical conclusions.

To begin, in the very beginning, during the opening credits... there is a right arm protruding from one of the trees of the Apocalypse. How can that be overlooked?!?

Season 2 episode 24 "Mortal Folly" Finn is meditating, picturing himself as a hero with a mechanical right arm.

Season 4 episode 18 "King Worm" Finn's reflection in the water has a robotic right arm.

Season 5 episode 1 "Finn the Human" Finn, in an alternate universe wherein the Litch does not exist, Finn has a mechanical right arm.

Season 5 episode 16 "Puhoy" in the pillow world, Finn has a mechanical right arm.

Season 5 episode 34 "The Vault" Finn, in a previous life as Shoko, has a mechanical right arm.

Season 5 episode 45 "Blade of Grass" Finn acquires a regenerating grass-blade sword that is "cursed" and permanently wraps itself around Finn's right wrist. He learns to control it, so he can call forth the regenerating grass-blade sword when desired into his hand.

Season 6 episode 2 "Escape from the Citadel" Finn loses his right arm trying to hold onto his escaping Dad Martin Mertins. As he is losing his grip, the "cursed" grass sword manifests as a powerful vine to reinforce Finn's human arm and help him hold onto his escaping Dad, but even that is overcome and Finn loses his right arm. The citadel's regenerating gel comes into contact with Finn's stub, regenerating not his own arm, but a flower, presumably a remnant of the cursed grass-sword he had before he lost that arm.

Season 6 episode 6 "Breezy" Finn regains his arm when the flower grows into a giant tree, which eventually falls away leaving Finn with a new human arm (and accompanying vegetative thorn).

Season 6 episode 27 "The Visitor" Finn encounters his Dad Martin again, who lost his right arm when he got it caught in a wood pecker hole (does that mean a pee hole?) while crashing a comet ship... but it turns out he was faking the arm loss for who knows why.

Season 6 episode 28 "the Mountain" When Finn enters's Mountain of Matthews's mirror, he becomes himself running on himself's stub of a right arm running on himself's stub of a right arm. The tiniest self regrows a full right arm again as he jumps off of it into the void toward a light, and the right arm reaches for said light, entering it to meet Mathew of the Mountain. Mathew reveals that bodies who enter his mountain can become their own essential essence, which will continue to add to the incomplete Mathew until the Second Age of Terror when Mathew will emerge as his final form and restore the world. Lemongrab ends up killing Mathew.

Season 6 episode 36 "" In Finn's dream, visited by the Cosmic Owl, Finn's teddy-bear has a grandfather clock for a right arm.

There's more, but I'm taking a break from thinking on this. I'll do an edit.
