Bootleg boards can be charming sometimes. We had tons of bootleg boards here in Brazil. I believe most of them came from Korea/China and Europe (Italia maybe).
back in the 80's / early 90's, I remember playing a Karate Champ bootleg which had different dialogs between the little girl and the white fighter after winning a match. Instead of "My Hero", the talking baloon was all white and had something huge written on it. From my faded mameories, I was suspecting that she was saying something nasty to him, because the fighter does that "shame" facial expression after that.
The end of the phrase that I remember was "...la Fin!" or something like that, that's why I suspected it to be an italian bootleg at first. And to this day however, I've never saw one of these again. Since it's a version still not emulated, I'm looking for one of these KC bootleg boards to buy for ages, but they became very rare. Unfortunately, here in Brazil, most (if not all) of them were trashed, burned, thrown away and very few pieces are surfacing these days, mostly 90's stuff, such as MK, Caddilacs & Dinosaurs, plenty of NEOGEO MVS and lots of Street Fighter II raimbow editions and it's derivatives.
Also, a lot of other games from the 80's had their names changed too, such as Pole Position being renamed to Top Racer, New Rally-X was called Stock Car, both Black Tiger / Black Dragon titles in the same game (this one was added to MAME last year, fortunately!) and so on...good ol' days!
BUT TODAY I've found a video on Youtube out of the blue made in 2013 that is the bootleg version of Karate Champ Player Vs Player I'm talking about. In fact, as you can see in the pictures below, the little girl says "My Hero Deserves The Fair":
