The other day the five-minute workout thing came to mind (my current 'maintenance' routine is about ten mintues of main exercises, another ten for stretching), but then I was all...yes, there could be one.
For those of you who have only a few minutes a day, and a six by three space to train in. The three things you'll be doing are: breathing, hindu squats, hindu push-ups. (Google for info on those.) Thirty seconds each. I recommend setting up an event chain on your phone (probably part of clock, or if there's a dedicated stopwatch app), to signal when to change over.
1. sit or stand with posture and breathe: full inhalation to your solar plexus, full exhalation. Use the same technique during the following exercises.
2. hindu squats
3. breathe
4. hindu push-ups
5. breathe
6. hindu squats
7. breathe
8. hindu push-ups
9. breathe
Those really out of shape/overweight I recommend periods of 15 seconds; or even not doing the movements, but getting into the exercise position and doing an isometric squeeze with the appropriate limbs.
Last but really first and foremost: exercise will not overcome intake. A proper diet supports training.
Scifi frauds. SF illuminates.
