That is good news for Operation Wolf fans knowing they can settle with playing the prototype version for time being until the hardware protection is understood and maybe emulated....if ever possible. Hope it doesn't have to get to the level of testing like it did with Raiden II (lots of different pcbs running patch tests), but I wouldn't be surprised if it does get to that amount of effort.
*excerpt from the blog entry* - "What remains to be seen is if this prototype gives us enough information to improve our protection simulation on the original game. Eventually we would like to be able to dump the C-Chips and emulate the protection properly, as a CPU running the protection code, but right now we still don’t have a viable method for doing that, Taito did a good job of securing the chips." -
Still a bummer for stephh not able to play Bonze Adventure in its fully working state.
