Need help with confuguring INI for MESSUI (and vanilla MAME UI)

Hello. Anyone here know of how to enable GLSL in MAME via the INI? I'm using MESSUI. I also can't figure out how to get pixel-perfect scaling for when I don't want the shaders & bi-linear filtering enabled. I'm at my wit's end and really need help.

While it's fairly easy to setup GLSL in MAMEUIFX, I for the life of me can't figure out how to set it up for MESSUI and other variants of MAME, at least in the INI. When I tried, I usually get this error-
