That's BetaCAM, which isn't the same thing as BETAMAX at all. The tape transport is similar, but that's it. BetaCAM uses different heads, different modulation, different bandwidths and different tape using different emulsion in different cassettes. BetaCAM is frequency-multiplexed component video. It isn't even close to the luma/chroma scheme used in BETAMAX and VHS. The meme that BETAMAX was successful in the professional domain needs to die.
