I had that happen this morning. Each screen would take like a minute or 2 to go away... I got to like the 3rd screen then folded my laptop display down and was like "screw this".
To kill however much time my computer needed to get it's shit together - I fired up the ol' PS3 and went back to playing as Sam against Armstrong. I finally got to the 2nd phase of the fight where he's down to 50% Life and you get a checkpoint and with NO HITS.
A couple hours later I gave up trying to get a perfect on Armstrong and got back to my laptop. Then decided to come here to gripe about hot long the screens took to go away.
