Tonight on TV in Australia is even worse than your list...
One channel has the local Australian version of The X Factor (which is even worse than the overseas original) followed by a crappy locally made drama followed by something with that chef who is always rude all the time.
Next up we have some un-watchable reality show about some people trying to renovate an ugly crappy building followed by some repeats of 2&1/2 men and then a show featuring various people trying to beat each other in a lip syncing contest.
Or there is the choice of the locally made crappy version of The Biggest Looser followed by some repeats of NCIS and NCIS LA.

Or if that doesn't work, there are always the multiple shopping channels (do you want the one with the guy trying to sell you the exercise equipment that will let you shed all those extra kilos? (but only if you follow a diet and exercise plan that is really doing all the work and not the expensive piece of crap exercise machine). Do you want the one trying to sell you the amazing blender that will extract 1000 times the nutrition from the food as your regular blender? Or do you want the one trying to sell you the amazing vacuum cleaner that will never loose suction no matter how much dirt you feed it?

Thank god for the ABC (government station) and shows like Good Game (where they review the latest video games and otherwise talk about video games) and Gruen (where they talk about the secrets of the advertising game and how advertisers trick you into buying crap you dont need.

That and the couple decades worth of awesome videos on YouTube
