LastPass meets all but ONE of Pi's requirements.

LastPass satisfies these of Pi's requirements:
* "free"
* "password manager"
* "multiuser support"
* "I don't mind if it's some kind of web-based one"

It can also more or less satisfy this requirement (with the downloadable app that I did mention in my post):
* "if I can make a local installation and share it with the other computers in the network"

so it can therefore also more or less satisfy Pi's other related requirement:
* "online-based ones are a no-no"

And I've got lots of this:
* "First hand experience is appreciated"

The ONLY of Pi's requirements that it doesn't satisfy is:
* "open source"

But, LastPass ticked (or semi-ticked) ALL of the other boxes, and is such an excellent product, that I thought it was worth mentioning, especially given that Pi said "neither me or the other tech-savvy guy in the company have dealt with password managers before", which hinted to me that he could be flexible on some of his requirements if the password manager was good enough.

Maybe Pi will agree enough to explore further and he might even be pleasantly surprised.
